A gift for you! Project. 2010. Interactive installation.

Two versions: One for the Prix QuARTier des Bains 2010, Geneva and one for the CACT, Centro Arte Contemporanea Ticino (2010).

A QR (Quick Response) code is a sort of 2D barcode whose digital content is read by scanning the code’s image, i.e. by pointing your cellphone camera at the image (in this case of the banner) and taking a picture. You can read the code with the aid of simple, lightweight application that you can download onto your cellphone free of charge.

I decided to accompany the digital animation with a provocative quote from Baumann, who warns us Europeans to explore the possibility of dialogue: it’s up to us to accept the challenge.

What better occasion could there be for international dissemination than the events at the Quartier des Bains? And what city, anywhere in the world, could be better suited to disseminating such an important message than Geneva?

Geneva, a city with an international vocation that currently hosts some 200 international governmental and non-governmental organisations.

Geneva, the home of the Red Cross, a city of Peace and of the great international negotiations, the historical asylum whose population comprises 40% of foreigners.

The time has come to understand that differences are a source of inestimable wealth.
