Free from the men of God, (2010). Video for the Album Superanima by Giovanni Dal Monte. (I).
Once again inspired by a piece of music composed by Jean De La Jovenc aka Giovanni Dal Monte , De Pinto conceives of the men of God as those who practise or subscribe to different religions, in the sense of institutions of power supported by dogmas and often drained of all spirituality and humanism; the artist treats these as details that can be traced back to man and his quest for his soul to survive his physical death.

“FREE FROM THE MEN OF GOD” by LA JOVENC (FROM THE ALBUM “SUPERANIMA” 2009) DIRECTOR : PIER GIORGIO DE PINTO featuring TO BORK RAM on computer. Initially conceived as critic to the unbelievable subordination of the Italian democracy to the vatican, the concept could be extended to all the similar realities in the world. The men who manage religions, the men of god, manage power, money, makes the wars..and the believers of all the religions accept..and somewhere, sometimes, often, their believing become law.. also for the ones who don’t believe…it becomes prevarication they speak of freedom and tolerance of cult…why not to re-vindicate the freedom of not believing and the liberty of criticism? Everyday now in the newspapers and in the television in italy (owned by a person only, as all know) , the men of god tell us what is good and what is wrong, and the democracy follows their suggestions…we are becoming the Iran of the west…a theocratic country. Can we tell it, or is a “racist offence” to the vulnerable, caring , loving billions of prevaricating believers of all the world who don’t respect me since always because of their religion, their men of god, their prejudice, their racism? the music is an electronic-hard-pop….. the long and boring sermon (but in this case which informs about the corruption and the prevarication of the men of god) ..and the long “coda”, as a long gospel/soul choir, which invites to not pray anymore…
