WYSIWYL- What You See Is What You Listen (to)? Video (2009)
The title is inspired by WYSIWYG, acronym for What You See Is What You Get, used in computing to describe a system in which the content displayed during editing appears very similar to the final output. In this case the content displayed, as the screening appears, not similar to what people can listen, therefore the title become provocative. Two men are eating in what presumably is their home environment. Only dinner is consumed in a public place but the two men don’t care to have a strong intimacy in a restaurant. De Pinto forces the public to whiteness an event so intimate, as one might be at home having meals and flirting. Some quick frames from time to time make the audience share of what the audio really spreads; a reminder that pre-announce the video’s title: What You See is What You Listen (to)?
