BANCASTATO EXECUTIVES HAVE CHOSEN AN IMPORTANT SERIES OF WORKS BY PIER GIORGIO DE PINTO
Four works out of the series ‘Soft in Soft out’ by Pier Giorgio De Pinto have been acquired by BancaStato, Banca dello Stato del Cantone Ticino (The State Bank of Canton Ticino).
BancaStato art collection, which includes over 600 works by 200 Ticino and Swiss artists, testifying to the commitment of the Institute for the art of the territory. A special committee of the Board of Directors, assisted and advised by an independent and external art expert, decides each year on the purchases intended to develop the collection. “The decisions are structured to be balanced from the point of view of the variety of language that characterizes the Ticino art scene, of territoriality and categories”. The 200 works in the collection, practically all exhibited in the branches, underline the closeness between the banking and the artistic world, which “has as a side effect also that of creating a very positive and motivating atmosphere”, comments Bernardino Bulla, Prime Minister Board of Directors of BancaStato.
